Description
Shelby and Mustang have become such as close pairing that even after Carroll Shelby’s demise, these iconic machines are churned out from Ford’s factory, no less. Way back in the Sixties, Shelby recognized the potential of the Mustang and elevated it to new levels of dynamic performance. Now, Shelby Mustangs are known to be raging racehorses that thrill and challenge drivers at the same time. This 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 comes with the Technology Package, Carbon Fiber Track Pack Equipment Group 950A and much more.
Exterior and Interior
Finished in Rapid Red Metallic, this 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is configured with the Carbon Fiber Track Pack and, according to client representation, is believed to be one of approximately 13 examples produced in Rapid Red with a factory painted roof. The exterior presentation is further defined by a painted over-the-top black stripe and a black painted roof, a combination that distinguishes this car from more common vinyl-stripe and exposed-carbon-roof configurations. Carbon Fiber Track Pack equipment includes the exposed carbon-fiber rear wing and 20-inch exposed carbon fiber wheels, reinforcing the car’s track-focused intent and aggressive stance. The wheels are protected by a wheel locking kit for added security, while the sculpted bodywork, aerodynamic elements, and piercing projector headlamps underscore the GT500’s purpose-built character. A red vehicle cover is included to help preserve the finish when the car is parked outdoors. The Ebony interior of this 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 comes with features such as a B&O speaker system, a blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alerts and a voice-activated touchscreen navigation system. It’s also got the Technology Package, a digital gauge cluster, Recaro leather-trimmed front seats and air conditioning. However, the rear seats have been removed for weight savings. Meanwhile, the trunk remains intact, so you can carry some decent cargo if needed.
Engine
This 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 comes with a 5.2-liter supercharged V8. Called the Predator V8, it can reportedly make up to 760hp and 625lb-ft. Then, it fires it all to the rear wheels via a 7-speed Tremec dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The car can rocket from rest to sixty in under 4 seconds, and tops out at over 180mph. If that isn’t thrilling, we don’t know what is…
